I know most of you read the HP books, and a lot of you have probably seen at least one of those movies about teachers inspiring inner city kids.

My Vladimir exploring the land, here in sunny FL where it's
much hotter than usual 80+ degrees.
Please excuse his pink corset ribbon, he's borrowing this
from one of my girls. (I'm working on getting him his
own clothes -really I swear I am.)

Anyone on the flist watching the SyFy Channel's "Alice"?
We haven't been, but now I'm wondering if I should try to catch it in reruns, if only because I heard from a friend that the Queen of Hearts is named "Mary(E)lizabeth Constance H(e)art."
And, ya know, there aren't a lot of Maryelizabeth C. Harts running around out there, fictional or otherwise.

Hey, this was on the first pop music record I ever bought.

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the _twilight_.

Which song was this lyric from?

Uncle Vanni & Meg

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I just had to a pic of Vanni with his little niece Meg. She still had her
violet eyes for now. I'm still looking for some brown ones, I bought a pair
but they were too small. Anyway, Vanni has pink eyes ... and they have a
similar hair color. I do think they look like family. I love the way he
holds her.

And really loved how this turned out

I learned a few things playing with this stuff and want to do some pics of Alia, when I have her in full water=being mode, like this.
In the extremely unlikely event you haven't read about his situation, read what[info]coffeeem </span> posts, with links.

I have some questions for you manga-philes out there!

I found my copy of the English Language Sailor Moon # 1 by Mixx Entertaintment. It's in excellent condition. Possibly looked at once (it's that long ago that I forgot) but has been stored in one of those comic bag/cardboard backing combo dealies. Here's the kicker. It's the SDCCI 1998 Pink and Silver Foil Cover version. Super rare I guess?

Unfortunately I can't find any information about it other than a quick blurb on Amazon.
Is this eBay worthy? Or is this something I should put on Amazon at a flat price just to get it out of here?

Sailor Moon's been and always will be popular. But there are some things that people won't buy.
With eBay fees rising all the time, I'm becoming picky on what to list.

Insomnia again...

At least there's Robot Chicken and a lot of fun cartoons...I'm waiting on another episode of the Chan Clan...or perhaps I'll get that Josey and the Pussycats goodness.

Till next time...I need sleep but apparently it dosen't need me.

Boomarang

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Well it seems I have discovered boomarang and now I'm getting all sentimental over old cartoons. I'm currently watching the Chan Clan...Yep I know not PC but still very fun and nastalgic. Remember in the 70's when all of the cartoon caracters had to fight crime while being in a band. I'm hoping they'll show some Josey and the Pussycats...ahh those were the days.

Till next time, i'll be watching Hanna Barbara cartoons in the back.
Will Feral, our non-feral outdoors / laundry room cat, has been MIA for 24 hours or more.
We are pretty sure she's gone for good.
There were mysterious running feet on our roof on Tuesday night, and there was a noisy coyote / neighbor dog altercation just north of us yesterday that had our dogs in a frenzy.
We believe our might huntress, who we rescued when she was literally dumped on the road outside our home a year and a half ago, has become someone else's prey.
Such is generally the fate of outdoors cats, but we are still grieving.

Friday morning update: No Will. No Will jumping on the hood of the car when we pull in to warm her feet. No Will "helping" me in the laundry room. No Will requesting her 5:00 dinner at 4:00.

We have walked the pastures in the immediate vicinity calling for her, including once with Stormy's "help," and checked the well house and the barn, in case she was holed up with an injury. No trace.

Thanks for all the sympathy / empathy.

I am trying to recognize that if she hadn't found her way to our laundry room in June '08, she probably would've met the same end much earlier, and that she enjoyed her time with us, but it's hard.

Little man

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I didn't realize DH was a little worried I wasn't using Gabe's name enough (I generally call him sweetie, baby, my baby, kid, kiddling, little man....and then remember to use his name :) )

Well.... I was calling him kid or kiddling in the womb.... I'm pretty sure he'll figure out his own name eventually!

Little man is now working on trying to roll.... from his back to his front no less (gotta do it the hard way!) so I have to belt him into stuff other than his carseat...

spamming to commence behind the cut!

and dollie stuff is quietly waiting until I can find time...but I NEEDED to share

December 9th, 2009

What an awesome movie. I chose to wait until it came out on DVD, primarily because I felt that my husband wouldn't want to sit through it, in the theater. Wow, I couldn't have been more wrong, he enjoyed it as much as I did.

I have always enjoyed Julia Child. I remember my early teens when she was on PBS, I would catch re-runs of her show. I used to walk home from High School, and would stop at the Local Public Library to check out her cooking books (My mom didn't really cook, much, so she didn't have her books)

Anyway...now I need to get her cookbook. I realized that I don't even have one.
